How Whatnot charges sellers
Whatnot takes two fees. A commission on the item price, and payment processing of 2.9% plus $0.30 on everything the buyer paid, shipping and tax included.
Commission does not include the buyer’s shipping or tax. Since September 21, 2026 the rate depends on your category and on how much you sold in the last 28 days. Selling more earns a lower rate for the next period.
A $50.00 sale in the standard tier costs $5.75 in fees, so you keep $44.25. The same sale in Coins, where commission is 4%, costs $3.75 and you keep $46.25.
